Every now and then I come across a fabric that makes my heart skip a little beat, and this is definitely one of those.
Rosewater Climbing Blooms by Verna Mosquera is an incredibly special, out-of-print fabric that has become so hard to find. The beautiful aqua blue, climbing roses and delicate floral stripes feel as though they were made for our Monaco Dress.
The Monaco is one of those dresses that celebrates all the little details I love about handmade — the Peter Pan collar, full gathered skirt, beautiful broderie anglaise peeking from beneath the hem, and our signature buttons running halfway down the back.
There is something very special about knowing a fabric like this isn’t being made anymore. Once these pieces are gone, they’re gone — and that’s part of the magic of creating in small quantities with rare fabrics.
