Many searched for it over the years, hoping to capture its Christmas warmth, but the bush bloomed only rarely; its petals appearing like a blessing rather than a certainty.
One sun-bright December morning, as kookaburras laughed from gum trees and scent of wattle drifted lazily through the air, the rosebush opened its blooms once more. Their petals shimmered as if dusted with Christmas magic, and the seamstress of Nestington; guided by intuition and a heart full of wonder; gathered just enough for a single dress.
