In the heart of Nestington, where summer breezes carry the scent of eucalyptus and fairy dust, lived a little nester named Bella; a ballerina so graceful that even the petals beneath her feet paused to admire her steps.
Bella loved Christmas more than any other time of year; not for the gifts, but for the magic that tiptoed softly into the village. It was said that, when December came, the Christmas Unicorns wandered down from the Star Meadow; shimmering creatures with flowing manes, gentle hearts, and hooves that rang like tiny bells in the warm twilight air.
One bright morning, as the sun stretched across the lilac sky, Bella found a surprise waiting for her:
a Charlotte Emma Dress sewn in the most breathtaking fabric she had ever seen; a tapestry of unicorns, frosted trees, and soft holiday magic, trimmed with the whitest broderie anglaise that peeked out like snow-kissed lace.
She slipped it on, and something wondrous happened.
The room glowed.
The air sparkled.
And when Bella twirled; oh, when Bella twirled; the skirt lifted like a spell being cast.
Her twirl summoned them.
Just outside her window, three Christmas Unicorns appeared, their coats glowing softly in the golden Australian light. They bowed their heads to Bella, recognising the grace of a true ballerina whose dreams shimmered brighter than tinsel.
“Come dance with us,” they whispered, voices soft as summer petals.
So Bella stepped outside, her dress floating as if woven from clouds. The unicorns formed a circle around her, and together they danced; slow, gentle steps at first, then faster, then brighter, until the whole of Nestington felt the joy rising like morning sunshine.
Villagers paused.
Birds fluttered closer.
Little nesters peeked from windows, hearts fluttering with wonder.
For that Christmas afternoon, Bella’s dance became a blessing; a reminder that magic lives strongest in those who dare to dream, to twirl, and to believe.
And afterward, when the unicorns faded back into the Star Meadow, Bella touched the skirt of her dress and smiled.
Because she knew the magic wasn’t gone.
It lived inside the dress now, stitched into every fold, waiting for the next twirl…
the next dream…
the next Christmas miracle.
