The beautifully shaped bodice is finished with fine red piping, a lovely contrast against the soft green cotton. A full, gathered skirt falls into a generous ruffle at the hem, also edged in red, giving the dress its beautiful shape and plenty of movement for those Christmas Day twirls.
There is something wonderfully nostalgic about this fabric. It reminds me of Christmas illustrations from years gone by, when every little detail held a touch of magic and the anticipation of Christmas morning was almost too much to bear.
